The price is 50% off it's suggested retail price. Microsoft has also said that new Vista PC buyers will get free upgrade to Windows 7 when it releases in October 2009.

Only new PC with Vista Premium, Business or Ultimate are eligible for the free upgrade!! I wonder if this is going to be another Vista.

Have anyone tried the beta? I heard it is a lot faster and run smoother compares to Vista with same hardware specifications. Is that true?
